En route to MPLS for the Vikings/Packers game. Cold, wind-swept northern Iowa.

A successful 100th Homecoming game for the Iowa Hawkeyes. Great seats (50 yard, 3 rows behind the Iowa bench…thanks, Monica!). Great weather. Great game.

By the Numbers: Road Trip to Iowa:

1 coyote dashing across the interstate
1 crop dusting plane
1 horse and buggy
1 Romney-Ryan bus (Obama was headed to the State Fair too, but unfortunately no Presidential sightings this time)

Sounds about right, except for the coyote part, I’ve never seen one of those!

only in iowa the midwest, does someone say “thank you” for ‘holding’ open the automatic door (aka walking through at the same time). love it. 

that’s why we drink it here!

(not really, by the time i got off work, i was only able to catch the last few minutes of the game, but so proud of our boys! go hawks!)
